Jennifer Byrd joined The Hartsema Group in April 2018 after 28 years with Huntington National Bank. Throughout her banking career, Jennifer’s true passion was developing strong relationships with her customers and helping them achieve maximum value from the bank.
At Huntington, Jennifer began her career in retail banking which gave her up-close and personal experience in providing an excellent customer experience. After a few years, she moved to the commercial side of the bank starting in the treasury management product division to both train and provide technical support to the bank’s ACH and Information Reporting clients. Jennifer then spent a few years as a commercial credit analyst before finally settling into treasury management sales for the rest of her banking career. Her experience as a Treasury Management Advisor began in Central Ohio but eventually took her to South Carolina twice, Michigan and North Carolina as part of the bank’s Large Corporate and Specialized National Sales team. She served on the Detroit Treasury Management Association Board and is a longtime member of the Association for Financial Professionals. Jennifer thoroughly enjoyed working with companies all over the country. Most of Jennifer’s customers were national retailers that worked with many different banks. This gave her an opportunity to learn about her competition and find ways to differentiate.
Since 2013, The Hartsema Group has been making a difference in the treasury management industry. By helping clients create and run a customer advisory board, good things happen. Business improves and relationships deepen - all from bringing the right people together and asking the right questions to make a positive difference for all involved. Jennifer is delighted that her true passion still applies in her new role at The Hartsema Group.
